In June, thanks to the pressure many of you applied to his office, I met with the Chief of the Los Angeles Police Department, Michel Moore. On the agenda: discussing LAPD's inappropriate and corrupt relationship with Scientology, which includes how the LAPD handled the missing person's investigation into Shelly Miscavige.
Speaking as a lawyer, I find it highly unlikely that a meeting with LAPD’s Chief of Police would have been successful. He was protecting his department & so, could not admit that they had mishandled the Shelley Miscavige investigation or the reality of its relationship with the cult.
I would suggest that you seek a meeting with his boss, presumably the Mayor, and/or attend a meeting of the LA City Council to present your testimony about LAPD’s lack of transparency in this matter.
What do you think Leah’s lawyers are advising her to do? I’ll bet so much going on behind the scenes. Have they been able to find David Miscavige to serve him?

Last week a big box of books ("Battlefield Earth," etc.) arrived at city hall from a California address, labeled simply "Books For You." They are giving this stuff away, I guess as a PR move, but I have no idea why. There is a Scientology church nearby but it is not within the city limits.

Chief Moore is a COS POS! It was so frustrating to listen to Leah and Claire trying to communicate with and arrogant asshole with a badge. It’s no surprise that this billionaire tax exempt organization COS has paid off multiple agencies to protect all their criminal activity. Why is no one helping these indoctrinated people that are trafficked and abused, just to name a couple! It’s embarrassing. Last time I checked it’s illegal to imprison people on private property! WTF LAPD

Here is what I said.
Did Chief of the Los Angeles Police Department, Michel Moore have a meeting with Leah Remini so she could make a complaint about Scientology? And did Chief Michel Moore act like he was bought off by Scientology during said meeting not allowing Claire or Leah to speak the truth with proof in hand? And did he not allow these two victims in front of him to get one complaint out because he spoke the entire time about himself and what a wonderful man he is and talked about his crime statistics he has accomplished? What is his job description by the way and who pays his salary? I thought the people did and isn't the church a non exempt organization so they don't pay him a penny or do they? If what Leah says his attitude was in that meeting, then don't you think an internal investigation should be held or do "we the people" need to step in and get him to do the job he was hired to do? I hope he steps up and gets his attitude checked if he's drifted. Did he ask them who they were when he entered the room? If he is such an amazing leader, how could he show up to a scheduled meeting that he approved not knowing who they were? If this is also true, how can a man who can't get a scheduled meeting in order by not knowing who he's meeting with in his approved scheduled be trusted to lead other police officers and detectives to protect all of us? I am not a California resident but if I were, I would certainly be very active right now in holding Cheif Michael Moore accountable and explain to "we the people" what is his story of said meeting. I support him and have much respect for our police as I do in my hometown. I pray that this meeting was just a misunderstanding and that the Chief will schedule another meeting with them. This time maybe he could listen and take notes then send his people into the field and investigate the facts. Isn't that what his job description says? I am very concerned by this meeting not going we and will be watching for something positive to happen hopefully. No one is better than anyone else. He is a servant to his people.
